Basil Mironer is an award-winning Film Director based in Austin, Texas. He received his MFA in Film & Television Production from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and has been telling stories ever since. 

Basil excels at visual storytelling and character-driven content that explores identity and self-acceptance in all forms. He loves exploring "real stories, outside reality". Genre films, characters in costume, and things a bit out of the ordinary are his play area. His past experiences as an editor and cinematographer ensure a clear vision and masterfully handled mood & tone..

He was born in Russia and immigrated to America in the late 80s. Since then he's lived and worked all over the world including Singapore, New Zealand, Hong Kong, India, London, and Nepal. His films have won awards at various festivals including Pusan International, Palm Springs, and a DGA Audience Award. He's directed videos for clients such as: Bud Light, Hyperloop-One, The Gates Foundation, ClevverTV, Chevy, Billboard Magazine, Verizon, and more.

He is developing his third feature film based on a Russian fairy-tale, as well as a television series for preschoolers called 'Ditto Kiddo'. Completed projects set for release include: a feature-length kids fantasy film and a feature documentary shot in Russia called 'Dandelion'.
